Using a PHP search interface utilizing binary large object (BLOB) text (gleaned during the PDF text-recognition process), a small SQL database is utilized to display, sort and link-out to the source PDF and the cataloged record. Begnning as a tool to assist with cataloging (subject heading development for dissertations), this data-path tool can also assist in collection development (bibliography tracking and trends of library materials used).
